School

On Monday, the team walked with the children to school.  During the morning salute, a dog decided to join in!  The students say a prayer together then sing the national anthem before marching to class.

Adorning the walls of the classroom are the student's work and lesson highlights. The Peruvian school curriculum includes a large amount of busy work so the children come home with lots of homework.
House mothers make sure that their children are perfectly dressed for school.  It is important to have ironed clothes and shined shoes when in their school uniform.  The boys in Casa Salomón are all ready to walk to school.

The girls in Casa Ester enjoy some playtime with Lori before eating their largest meal of the day with their family groups after school around 3:00 p.m.  They have enjoyed singing their blessing before the meal that the St. Matt's group has taught them.

Padre Santo, Padre Santo
Otra vez, Otra vez
Pedimos las gracias, pedimos las gracias
Amen, Amen
